“Another Country”

A Drama by Julian Mitchell

Directed by J.D. Mizikowski

Another Country is loosely based on the life of the real-life spy Guy Burgess.

Set in an English public school in the early 1930's, where future leaders are being \prepared for their roles in the ruling class. Guy is coming to terms with his sexuality and Tommy is a committed Marxist.

As outsiders, Tommy wants to abolish the whole system of British life; Guy wants a  successful career within it.

Upon the discovery that a pupil has hanged himself, the senior boys try to keep the scandal away from both the parents and the outside world.

Bennett pretends nonchalance but is deeply troubled by the suicide, while Judd believes the death is a symptom of the school's oppressive regime.

"Subtle and absorbing." - London Daily Mail.

"A genuinely exciting political play. His acerbic wit finds a perfect match in the precocious self importance of his subjects." - Time Out.

“What the Bellhop Saw”

A comedy by Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore

Directed by Chris Bucci

A nice fellow checks into an expensive suite in New York City's finest hotel, precipitating a fantastic nightmare involving a Salman Rushdie-type author,  an Iranian terrorist, a vile wife from hell, a conniving bellboy, an incompetent F.B.I. agent, a nubile celebrity mad maid, a dimwitted secretary, and a little pig tailed girl.

Gag lines are popping as events transpire at a whirlwind velocity. Topical humor blends with the traditional antics of farce: doors slamming, characters careening and confusion reigning supreme. Including the show stopping silent “Bellhop Ballet.”

"A winner!" - Stage Directions

"The laughs keep on coming!”  -Tribune

“A rip-roaring good time!" - Broadway Stage

Blood Relations

A mystery-drama By Sharon Pollock

Directed by Larry Lewis

“Lizzie Borden took her ax

and gave her mother 40 whacks….”

  ...or did she?

Blood Relations is a compelling  mystery/drama about Lizzie Borden, the infamous 19th century alleged ax murderer, exonerated in court but condemned by society as the killer of her father and step-mother.

The play focuses on Lizzie Borden and a woman simply known as “The Actress,” who is questioning Lizzie about the day of the murders.

The biggest question hanging on her tongue – the one she cannot help asking – is “Did you do it, Lizzie? Did you?”

Lizzie offers to guide The Actress through the days leading up to the murders with Lizzie playing the role of the family’s maid and The Actress taking on the role of Lizzie herself.

Lizzie weaves a tale so intricately that The Actress brings everyone back to life so she can experience exactly what Lizzie went through.
